About Brooke

Brooke is a thirty something, blonde haired, blue eyed, intelligent, intuitive woman who loves to solve her own problems and help others to solve theirs. Brooke is the oldest of four siblings. She is married and has 5 children. Brooke is a licensed social service worker and has been employed in child welfare for the past 8 years. Brooke has a passion in life for sharing with others the things that have helped her most.

Brooke encountered her first seemingly unsolvable problem as a child. She had symptoms starting from about age 5 of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She had bouts of fear, anxiety and depression due to these symptoms, and although her parents did everything they knew to help, the condition went undiagnosed until Brooke was 21 years old. Finally knowing what the real problem was lifted a huge burden and was a relief to Brooke. Only when a problem is correctly identified can a long lasting solution be found. The experience of living with undiagnosed OCD, combined with finding solutions as to how to cope with it once diagnosed has been a huge defining event in Brookes life. Not only did this help her arrive at her solution focused philosophy, but it also gave her an intense compassion for people who suffer from mental health issues.

Brooke encounters people on a daily basis that face problems that often seem insurmountable. The natural thing for many to do is to throw up their hands and stop looking for answers. Although Brooke does not proclaim to know all the solutions, she stays focused on her belief that solutions do exist. She is here to share methods that she has seen work. In this way, she desires to give hope to those who visit this site, and inspire them to also take this approach in their own lives.
